Personnel

Our qualified personnel are primarily volunteers who donate nearly 33,000 hours per year and our supplemented by five full-time career staff Paramedics. Each of our ambulances are equipped with mobile wireless security lockers which allow for our qualified personnel to have full access to all required medications 24 x 7.

We respond to all emergencies with-in our district and no longer provide non-emergency transports. We respond along with our local fire departments of Farmington, Fishers, Manchester, and Victor on calls that involves fire or potential of hazards to the firefighters responding. In addition to our day-to-day operations, annual events, such as Stuarts International Horse Trials, Ganadagon Festival, and Holiday Season at East View Mall will require that additional volunteer crews be in service to cover the potential risk of increased call volume. These special events require at minimum one ambulance to be stage at the respective events.

Our ambulance corps operates on pre-set Primary Duty Shifts. Our Primary Duty Shift refers to the dispatcher, Driver, Medic, and ALS technician assigned to the first ambulance dispatched to an emergency call. Our back-up duty refers to additional driver and medics who respond to additional 2nd or 3rd emergency calls while the prime duty crew is out of service on an emergency.

Duty Shifts consist of 11pm-6am, 6-9am, 9-12pm, 12-3pm, 3-6pm, 6-11pm. Our ambulance corps is a private not-for-profit corporation and operates with members elected as executive officers and appointed operational personnel.
