When you're facing an injury or sudden illness in a remote location, do you know how to respond? This comprehensive 8-hour course prepares you to assess and care for injuries and illness when professional medical care is an hour or more away. You'll learn current practice guidelines so you can make essential decisions and carry out life-saving procedures when it matters most. All participants receive a free Wilderness First Aid Guidebook.

What you'll cover
You'll learn how to recognize and assess a range of emergencies, control bleeding, care for wounds, and splint injuries to the head, chest, abdomen, and limbs. You'll also cover environmental emergencies like heat and cold exposure, poisoning, and bites or stings, plus medical emergencies such as cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and diabetic events.
